Hey, I'm Stef!

I work with busy women who are looking for real results while having fun and a few laughs along the way.

In my early years as a trainer I thought I was doing everything necessary to achieve the ultimate level of health and fitness. I pushed myself in the gym, counted every calorie and dedicated all my time to my health. Overtime, I realized that the behaviours I thought were in pursuit of my optimal health, were actually making me sick. My body wasn’t recovering, I was feeling deprived of food and craved a social life.

Since that time, I’ve learned so much more about what it actually means to be healthy and what we all need to live a rewarding, energetic life. It’s about a lot more than what happens in the gym.

I know it can feel overwhelming to get started but it’s my absolute passion to be your guide as we get you feeling healthier, more confident and happy in your own skin. I make fitness and nutrition simple and a whole lot of fun in the process!

What makes me different

My first coaching certification was in aerobics, then figure skating. In the world of figure skating & dance, I witnessed many battles with body image, mental control and bad coaching vs good coaching.  

THIS is what inspired me to become a Personal Trainer 22 years ago.

I was super fortunate to start my career in a World Class training facility, working with recreational & elite athletes, some even went on to be Olympians. I was still skating myself & won a Canadian bronze medal with my synchro team.  I competed in bodybuilding in the lightweight division with WNSO - once! It was a fantastic learning experience but the life of food deprivation & lack of social fun was not for me. For two years I worked 7 days a week, on the ice or in the gym.  Something had to give, I chose the gym & accepted the opportunity to manage a Woman’s Only Club.  This is where I learned SO much more about what women struggle with & the obstacles that keep them from their goals AND what happens to inactive, sitting too much, over stressed bodies. This was new for me, coming from training athletes!

I have learned a lot since then about what people need to live a rewarding, energetic, healthy life. It’s about a lot more than what happens in the gym. It can be very overwhelming to know where to start.  I help people get started on a complete mind-body-nutrition program, safely to avoid injuries or overcome physical setbacks.

Yes, we are working on your physical health but your mental and emotional health are important pieces in the process. I take time to really get to know you and your needs to ensure our work together has maximum impact.

I’m not all or nothing.

When you work with me, we leave room for fun and play. Yes, we will work hard but we are always going to have some fun too. This isn’t about restriction and rigidity, we are building sustainable, life-long habits that work for you!
